Zixi is seeking a Business Development Representative to join our dynamic team. As a Zixi Business Development Representative, you will play a crucial role in processing and nurturing all inbound leads, ensuring they follow the appropriate paths based on the type of account and the involvement of field sellers. For accounts assigned to a field seller, you will collaborate closely with the seller to nurture and convert leads into contacts, following a strategic plan. For accounts not assigned to a field seller, you will independently guide leads through the sales process, with support from technical pre-sales resources for quoting. Additionally, you will manage renewals for accounts not assigned to a field seller. You will also work with our cloud partner, AWS, to register opportunities and coordinate with AWS teams and field sellers based on account types and opportunities. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Represent Zixi as a trusted advisor, ensuring all interactions align with the company’s mission and values.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing customers by understanding their needs and presenting Zixi’s value proposition.
- Perform to the required outreach activity volumes to engage prospects and customers.
- Process and qualify inbound leads, determining appropriate paths based on account type.
- Provide regular updates on lead progress, prospect engagement, and sales performance.
- Meet or exceed monthly quotas for qualifying opportunities and moving them thru to close.
- Independently guide leads and opportunities through the sales process for non-assigned accounts with support from technical pre-sales resources.
- Manage renewals for customers.
- Work with Zixi’s cloud partners, to register opportunities and align with their teams and field sellers.
- Utilize CRM systems to track and manage leads, opportunities, and customer interactions, ensuring data accuracy.
- Participate in ongoing training and coaching to enhance sales skills and knowledge of Zixi’s products and services.
- Stay updated on industry trends, video technology, cloud solutions, and new AI tools relevant to Zixi’s offerings.
- Other responsibilities as assigned by Management.
- 1-2 years of entry level experience or demonstrated strong desire to begin a career in sales.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Comfortable presenting or sharing information in person and via video conferencing tools like Microsoft Teams or Zoom.
- Familiarity with CRM systems (Salesforce Preferred).
- Competence in the Office 365 Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
- A self-starter with a positive outlook and ability to thrive in a completive environment.
- Strong work ethic, time management, and organizational skills.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and adapt to changing priorities.
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding measurable goals.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Familiarity with Zixi’s industry (media, entertainment, streaming technology).
- Interest in or experience with video delivery, cloud technology, or emerging AI tools.
- Previous experience in outbound prospecting or managing a sales pipeline.
- Experience working with account executives and technical pre-sales resources.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS or previous experience collaborating with cloud partners.
- Familiarity with quoting processes and technical sales support.
