Our client in the Legal field is looking for a Business Development Representative that has experience in Tech sales to Legal or Insurance Industries. This is a full-time opportunity Monday Through Friday in Garden City, NY.
Position Summary:
The Business Development Representative (“BDR”) is responsible for securing new clients for the company’s dispute resolution platform. Working closely with Leadership, IT Development, and Marketing teams, this professional will target law firms and claims professionals at Insurance companies and third-party administrators (TPAs). The BDR will forge relationships with key decision makers, understand their business challenges/protocol and introduce the Dispute resolution platform capabilities. The BDR will collaborate with the team, prospect target accounts, provide demos and training and close the deal.
Position Summary:

Responsibilities
- Prospect target accounts with a focus upon plaintiff and defense counsel and claims professionals at insurance companies and TPAs throughout the United States.
- Pursue Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs).
- Provide demos to prospects and training to clients, as required.
- Become fully versed in the resolution platform and understand the system and how it works in order to assist clients with the process and answer questions
- Engage prospective clients and build relationships.
- Identify prospective client pain points and business objectives while gaining an understanding of culture and methodologies.
- Advocate for the platform and optimize and present the platform's value proposition.
- Solicit and evaluate client feedback on the Platform's functionality.
- Communicate and follow-up with precision and timeliness.
- Network, attend conferences and business social events to deepen and widen relationship base.
- Log all activity in the company’s CRM system, prepare weekly reports and attend sales meetings.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws and ethical principles.
Requirements
- Experience selling technology products within the legal/litigation ecosystem; 2 plus years’ experience preferred
- Impeccable communication skills—both written and verbal
- Strong work ethic and passion for serving demanding clients
- Curiosity that drives knowledge and meaningful engagement of client and their organization
Education
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience in the Insurance industry a plus but not required
- Law degree and/or paralegal experience a plus but not required
Salary
70,000 - 80,000 /year
