Job Summary
Develops and maintains sales programs with assigned intermediaries in assigned territory. Will oversee and set strategic sales initiatives and goals, maintain and develop senior/high level relationships with Insurance Carriers and Heads of various BGAs/IMOs and other distribution channels. Identifies client needs and coordinates efforts to service intermediaries. Conducts sales promotion and product training meetings for intermediaries and existing or prospective borrowers.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
* Responsible for business development through locating new clients and managing existing client relationships. Originates loan opportunities which the BDO coordinates with, and ultimately hands off to, Client Services.
* Along with senior management, establishes the direction, strategy, marketing plan, target audience, and offerings to position the division and increase (in quantity and quality) the amount of new loans. Creates product positioning, sales tools, and division placement within the industry.
* Responsible for direct interaction with Clients and SFD Legal for all litigation matters.
* Conducts lead generation and networking to create centers-of-influence.
* Develops and manages Insurance Carrier relationships. Maintains strong working relationships with Senior Executives, Advance Sales, Underwriting Departments and Regional Wholesaler at existing Life Insurance Carriers.
* Ensures that our business is being processed efficiently and that our products are being effectively marketed throughout the respective distribution channels. Also responsible for bringing on new Life Insurance Carrier platforms.
* Provides lead generation and relationship building with Distributors. Works to recruit, develop and strengthen relationships and create partnerships with IMO's, BGA's, CPA's, independent producers and career agents.
* Each team member is expected to be aware of risk within their functional area. This includes observing all policies, procedures, laws, regulations and risk limits specific to their role. Additionally, they should raise and report known or suspected violations to the appropriate Company authority in a timely fashion.
* Performs other related duties as required.

Minimum Education:
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum Experience:
* Ten years of experience in relationship management with finance and life insurance sales experience preferred.

* Strong understanding of Trust & Estate planning
