We are looking for an energetic and dedicated Business Development (BD)/Marketing Generalist to be a part of our team. The BD/Marketing Generalist assists with developing and managing the BD pipeline, as well as assisting with developing and publishing marketing content.
The BD/Marketing Generalist must possess effective time and project management skills, exhibiting focus and poise within a fast-paced, deadline-driven, collaborative, and complex environment where continuous communication is critical.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Business Development
- Monitor shared inbox of opportunities arriving from various sources (e.g., GSA eBuy, contract vehicle email distribution lists) and distribute to IPTA Business Unit Leaders for review
- Generate templates and coordinate submission of Request for Information (RFI) responses
- Work with Business Intelligence Manager as needed in support of opportunity capture research
- Ensure opportunities are entered and up to date in the corporate CRM/pipeline tool
- Support update and maintenance of documentation contained on the Business Development intranet site
- Marketing
- Use Google Analytics, Google AdWords, and other relevant sites
- Conduct competitive research and analyze benchmarking data
- Collect, analyze, and interpret marketing data to provide insight and support strategic marketing
- Work closely with leadership to align marketing strategies with business objectives
- Work closely with the marketing team to develop and implement specific campaigns and promotions
- Assist in the preparation of corporate external marketing materials and internal communications
- Develop and manage social media content
- Inspect and edit own work, as well as apply feedback and edits into drafts from a variety of sources within established internal deadlines
- Engage with graphic designers to develop concepts for graphics
- Follow established processes and defined roles and responsibilities
- Meet deadlines by establishing priorities and target dates for information gathering, writing, review, and approval; coordinating requirements with contributors
Required Qualifications:
- BA/BS in Business, Marketing, or a Communication-related field
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects to meet all deadlines
- Strong self-starter with excellent problem-solving abilities
- Edit writing for organization, content, style, and tone
- Ability to understand technical concepts
- Ability to communicate with and build rapport with varying levels within the organization
- Ability to read, understand, and ensure compliance with complex project requirements
- Successful experience working both individually and collaboratively within a small team
- Expert level MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and Adobe Acrobat
- Although every effort is made to work during normal work hours, some projects may require working extended hours including weekends on short notice to meet deadlines
