Position Overview: Business Development Manager
As a Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in expanding Sofka’s client base across North America. You will leverage your expertise in IT professional services to identify opportunities, engage potential clients, and provide tailored solutions that address their business challenges. This role is ideal for a results-driven professional looking to make a meaningful impact in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Sales Leadership: Serve as a trusted advisor, showcasing Sofka's IT professional services and fostering long-term collaborative partnerships.
- Lead Generation: Identify and target potential clients through networking, referrals, and market research.
- Sales Cycle Management: Oversee the entire sales process, from prospecting to closing, ensuring consistent revenue growth.
- Pipeline Development: Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads aligned with strategic sales goals.
- Deal Negotiation: Structure, negotiate, and close high-value business agreements that deliver mutual benefits.
- Industry Expertise: Stay abreast of technological trends and challenges, positioning Sofka as a market leader.
- Revenue Achievement: Consistently meet or exceed sales quotas, with the opportunity to earn uncapped commissions.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and nurture relationships with VP and C-level decision-makers by delivering customized solutions to their specific needs.
- Thought Leadership: Represent Sofka at industry events, conferences, and panels to enhance brand visibility and credibility.
Qualifications
Experience:
- 8–10+ years of proven success in new business development, specifically within offshore/nearshore IT professional services.
- A track record of achieving $1M+ annual quotas and driving substantial revenue growth.
Industry Knowledge:
- Comprehensive understanding of the IT services landscape, including trends and industry challenges.
- An established network of VP and C-level contacts in the technology sector.
Skills:
- Exceptional prospecting, cold calling, and deal-closing capabilities.
- Proven ability to present and negotiate with senior-level executives.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, paired with a consultative sales approach.
- Proficiency in preparing business cases, proposals, and statements of work.
Mindset:
- Highly self-motivated and results-driven, with a passion for exceeding sales targets.
- Strategic thinker capable of addressing industry-specific pain points with innovative solutions.
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to travel nationally and internationally as needed (valid passport and driver’s license required).
