OUTDOOR POWER EQUIPMENT - TERRITORY SALES - REMOTE+TRAVEL
Are you a Business Development Manager with experience in B2B outdoor power equipment sales? Are you located in Austin, Dallas, Houston, or Ft. Worth, Texas?
THE RIGHT STAFF has partnered with a global specialty automotive parts distributor seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to support the growth of sales for new and existing client accounts across the outdoor power equipment vertical. This role would be traveling to client sites up to 75% of the time.
Candidates need to be local to Austin, Dallas, Houston, or Ft. Worth, Texas.
Essential Job Duties:
• Responsible for growing new accounts and increasing sales at current accounts to grow company market share and revenue is your assigned territory.
• Develop sales strategies to solicit new business.
• Initiating contracts with potential customers through cold calling, responding to leads from Account Managers.
• Create relationships with customers, identify potential needs and qualify interested and viability to drive sales.
• Present product information to customers.
• Moving leads through sales process, connect them with salesperson, arrange meetings, emails, phone calls, etc.
• Follow-up with past inquiries and interest when sales not completed.
Minimum Requirements:
• 4-year degree + 1 year of sales experience or 5+ years of total sales experience.
• Must have a valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
• Up to 75% travel required throughout Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma.
• Prior experience with sales in Automative, Powersports, or Outdoor Power Equipment Parts is highly preferred.
• Must have strong communication skills, teamwork, and customer service skills.
Position Benefits, Pay, & Schedule:
• Direct-hire opportunity with competitive benefits package included
• Position is Hybrid/Remote - with travel requirements of up to 75%.
• Candidates need to be local to Austin, Dallas, Houston, or Ft. Worth, Texas.
• Base pay starts at $75K + bonus (avg. $20K in commissions)
• Flexible hours; core business hours 8 am to 5 pm
