About Us:
Meridian Camera was founded in 2022 to address a critical need identified by its sister brands in the equipment rental industry. We provide reliability, protection and peace of mind through live monitored video surveillance systems, helping businesses across all industries deter theft, protect property, increase safety and mitigate risk. As we continue to expand, we are looking for a driven Business Development Manager to spearhead our growth initiatives, explore new sales verticals, and create long-term customer partnerships.
About This Role:
As our Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying, developing, and executing sales strategies to drive company growth. Your focus will be on finding untapped markets, securing new clients, and maximizing revenue opportunities through proactive prospecting and relationship-building. This role requires an entrepreneurial mindset, strong sales acumen, and the ability to create and implement scalable business development strategies.
Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development
- Identify and penetrate new sales verticals, expanding Meridian Camera’s market presence.
- Develop and execute data-driven sales strategies to acquire and retain high-value customers.
- Build and manage a strong pipeline of prospects through proactive outreach, networking, and partnerships.
- Conduct market research to stay ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor activities.
- Drive lead generation through outbound calls, emails, and in-person meetings, converting prospects into long-term clients.
- Collaborate with marketing to refine messaging, campaigns, and sales materials that resonate with target customers.
Client Relationship Management & Revenue Growth
- Establish and maintain relationships with key decision-makers across various industries.
- Act as a trusted advisor, understanding client needs and recommending tailored surveillance solutions.
- Ensure seamless onboarding and implementation for new clients, setting them up for long-term success.
- Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities to maximize customer lifetime value.
- Work closely with internal teams to refine sales processes and improve client experiences.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in business development, B2B sales, or strategic account management.
- Proven ability to identify and break into new market verticals while driving revenue growth.
- Strong sales pipeline management and negotiation skills.
- Ability to craft compelling sales strategies and execute them effectively.
- Excellent relationship-building skills with a consultative sales approach.
- Experience in security, video surveillance, IoT, or technology-related industries is a plus.
- Proficiency in CRM software and sales automation tools.
- A self-motivated, results-driven professional with an entrepreneurial mindset.
Compensation & Benefits:
- $100,000 - $150,000 plus commission
