The Technical Sales Engineer/Business Development Manager will play a critical role in the continued growth of the company by building relationships with new and existing customers to increase sales of Company products and services.

Execute the company's growth-oriented strategies by establishing, building, and maintaining effective relationships with new and existing customers. Sell Company products and capabilities with a strong understanding of the products and business position to cultivate and promote growth.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
REQUIREMENTS:
The position requires a Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Engineering with a minimum of 3+ years of experience in similar positions serving relevant industries (electronics manufacturing). Must have the ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 50% of the time.
A proven track record of successful experience in customer-facing roles, including selling components into military, aerospace, optical communications, automotive and/or power semiconductor markets is a plus.
Must be established, polished, and professional, with strong listening skills and the ability to influence and persuade in order to achieve desired outcomes; have strong analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills; have excellent oral and written communication skills; exceptional organizational, planning and prioritizing skills as well as being detail oriented; have a certain degree of creativity and latitude; be proficient in Microsoft Office applications and able to balance multiple priorities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Achieve assigned strategic company and account objectives.
- Aggressively prospect and mine for new accounts.
- Respond to customer inquiries, working with product development, design engineering, operations and quality to meet the customer's needs.
- Attend trade shows, present lunch-n-learns via WebEx and at customer sites, host key stakeholders at onsite customer visits, and interact via conference calls.
- Manage key accounts by establishing and maintaining strong, long-term relationships and communicating with customers on a regular basis.
- Generate quotations, overcome customer objections, and execute continued follow-up to close deals and capture orders.
- Utilize the appropriate CRM tool to track all opportunities and provide inputs on the quarterly forecast, annual plan, five-year strategic plan, and all other business planning needs.
- Establish and maintain ongoing relationships with internal departments and external sources required to perform duties and take the lead in supporting optimal communications among all pertinent functional groups to ensure timely customer deliveries.
- Interact professionally with customers, coworkers, and prospects.
- Coordinate with and support the rest of the Sales team when out of the office, ensuring that the requirements of our customers and prospects are always fulfilled in a timely fashion.
- Ensure adherence to ISO standards by following all established work instructions; recommend modifications to instructions as required.
- Perform other duties related to the work described herein.
