SUMMARY
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to lead the launch and expansion of our new slewing drive for solar trackers. This individual will be responsible for identifying market opportunities, forging strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth for this innovative product. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business development within the renewable energy sector, with a particular focus on solar technologies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Market Research and Analysis:
- Conduct comprehensive market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape specific to slewing drives and photovoltaic trackers.
- Analyze customer needs and preferences to tailor the product offerings effectively.
- Strategic Planning:
- Develop and implement a robust business development strategy for the slewing drive product line.
- Identify target markets and create go-to-market plans to achieve sales targets within the solar industry.
- Sales and Revenue Generation:
- Drive sales efforts to achieve or exceed revenue targets for the slewing drive product.
- Identify and engage potential clients, partners, and stakeholders to generate new business opportunities.
- Partnership Development:
- Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with key players in the solar industry, including manufacturers, distributors, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Negotiate and finalize business agreements and contracts.
- Product Promotion:
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute effective promotional campaigns for the slewing drive product.
- Represent the company and the new product at industry events, trade shows, and conferences.
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
- Address customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly and professionally.
- Reporting and Analysis:
- Track and analyze sales performance, market trends, and customer feedback specific to the slewing drive product.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or a related role within the solar or renewable energy sector.
- Strong understanding of market research, sales strategies, and partnership development specific to solar technologies.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to think strategically and execute methodically.
- Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
