We are seeking a Business Development Manager/Director DP&C (Discovery, Pre-Clinical & CMC).

LOCATION: Home based - Ohio, Michigan, Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois.

The Business Development Manager/Director will generate and maintain profitable business relations with partners, promote Pharmaron as the CRO of choice to prospective clients with fully integrated services and enhance on-going business relationships within your territory. You should have experience in understanding the requirements and challenges of drug discovery and development as you will be regularly communicating with scientific leaders in this space, focusing on partnering with Pharmaron's integrated DP&C capabilities.

Job Overview:

• Achieve agreed-upon sales and profit targets, driving business growth and profitability.
• Cultivate, manage, and maintain professional relationships with clients, with particular emphasis on their senior management teams.
• Stay informed about Pharmaron's capabilities and services to engage in informed discussions with clients and prospective clients about our offerings.
• Work closely with Pharmaron scientists to ensure that client expectations are realistic and achievable, ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Identify cross-selling opportunities in collaboration with other Business Development team members, capturing new areas for business growth.
• Contribute to the development of a compelling Value Proposition, making Pharmaron an attractive choice for clients.
• Represent the company professionally, promoting Pharmaron as a reliable partner capable of delivering high-quality solutions, converting inquiries into profitable contracts.
• Collaborate with Pharmaron scientists to formulate business proposals and presentations, ensuring these proposals can be converted into profitable commercial contracts.
• Identify and utilize sources of information that provide insightful market intelligence within the pharmaceutical industry, sharing this information internally to support strategic decision making.
• Support and mentor the broader Business Development team through contributions on special projects as needed.

What we're looking for:

We're seeking individuals with a strong work ethic who are highly motivated to succeed both individually and as part of a fast-growing company.

• A Master's degree in Chemistry (Medicinal, Synthetic or Processed) from a reputable university (PhD strongly preferred).
• A minimum of 8 years' post-qualification experience in a scientific lab environment within the industry.
• Essential knowledge and experience in Drug Discovery/Development.
• Business Development experience within the CRO industry is an advantage.
• A deep understanding of the CRO and Pharmaceutical market and environment is beneficial.
• Excellent commercial acumen, presentation skills, and business analytical abilities.
• Exceptional interpersonal, networking, and relationship management skills.
• Highly organized, solution-oriented, and resilient with a strategic mindset.
