About the Job
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager (BDM) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, qualifying and prioritizing the acquisition of new Large Multi-Location window dealer accounts. Upon startup of new accounts, you will facilitate growth by leveraging the territory sales managers (TSM’s) at the individual location levels. You will be responsible for establishing strong, long-term relationships with existing and newly acquired Large multi-location dealers in the Specialty Replacement Dealer Space. You will contribute to the growth and expansion of our product presence in key markets by influencing pricing and mix of products in this channel.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving new business through strategic prospecting, relationship building, and closing deals. You should be an excellent communicator with a passion for sales and a deep understanding of the window and construction industry.
This territory will consist of the Midwest and New England, the Dakotas south to OK, CO to PA. We would accept applicants in major cities near major markets in this geography. For example, Denver, St Louis, Cleveland, Boston, Chicago.
- Prospect and Generate Leads: Identify and engage with potential new window dealer accounts through various channels, including cold calling, email outreach, industry events, and referrals
- Market Research: Conduct in-depth research on potential dealer partners in targeted regions, understanding their needs, competitive landscape, and how our window products can best meet those needs
- Develop and Qualify Opportunities: Qualify leads based on company requirements, and work to build strong, long-lasting relationships with prospective dealers
- Sales Presentations: Deliver compelling presentations and product demonstrations to window dealers, showcasing our products’ features, benefits, and value propositions
- Negotiate and Close Deals: Work closely with internal sales teams to negotiate terms and close new dealer accounts, ensuring a seamless transition from prospect to active dealer partnership
- Pipeline Management: Maintain accurate records of all lead activity and communications using our CRM system, ensuring timely follow-ups and accountability
- Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing, sales, New Product Development and customer service teams to ensure alignment in targeting the right dealer segments and delivering outstanding support post-sale
- Stay Informed: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new product offerings, and competitive strategies to remain a trusted resource for dealers
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field (preferred but not required)
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management, ideally in the construction, building materials, or home improvement sectors
- Strong understanding of the window industry and dealer networks is highly advantageous
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets through cold calling, lead generation, and closing new accounts
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage and persuade decision-makers
- Highly self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently while contributing to the team’s overall success
- Proficiency in CRM software
- Ability to travel as needed for meetings, trade shows, and industry events
- Travel 40%+

The total target compensation for this role (base + sales incentives) is $150,000+. All full-time positions come with comprehensive benefits starting on day 1, including medical, dental, vision coverage, 401k, and PTO. This role will also have a car allowance.
