We are on the hunt for a dynamic and experienced Permanent Business Development Manager to join our team, focusing on our Data Center in the Engineering and Construction industry. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker, capable of driving growth and innovation for our products. This role is ideal for a proactive individual who can manage complex projects, and who possesses a deep understanding of the data center market, as well as business development strategies. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a significant impact on our company’s growth while working in a fast-paced, high-tech environment.
*This roles requires direct experience selling infrastructure solutions into data center providers*
**This role also requires up to 75% travel**
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement strategic business development plans for the data center, identifying new market opportunities to drive growth and profitability.
2. Oversee and manage the installation processes, ensuring that all operations are carried out efficiently and effectively.
3. Cultivate and maintain relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and partners, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and engineering, to develop and execute comprehensive strategies.
5. Monitor industry trends and competitor activity, leveraging insights to inform business development strategies.
6. Conduct regular reviews of business development performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
7. Lead and manage a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree or MBA would be an advantage.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a business development role, preferably within the data center and construction industry.
3. Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing business development strategies, resulting in significant growth.
4. Extensive experience in managing the installation processes within a data center environment.
5. Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
6. Strong understanding of the data center market, including industry trends and competitive landscape.
7. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders.
8. Highly analytical and strategic, with strong problem-solving skills.
9. Ability to manage complex projects, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines and business objectives.
10. Proficiency in relevant software and technology, including CRM systems and data analysis tools.
11. Willingness to travel as required for client meetings and industry events.
