Position Summary:
The Business Development Manager for Contract Manufacturing is responsible for generating sales revenue and customer management for assigned customers. This position will identify opportunities within contract manufacturing and will execute the strategic long term and annual plans for TH Foods. This position reports to the National Sales Manager and will be a remote position with attendance at the corporate office as required.
Essential Duties and Requirements include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Achieve Sales goals within target customers.
- Develop annual plans by customer.
- Conduct weekly calls with select customers relative to attainment, new project development process and cost savings initiatives
- Oversee all corporate contracts relating to individual accounts, understanding requirements, assisting in negotiations through execution of contract, work closely with National Sales Manager on contract and pricing negotiations.
- Develop and maintain close working relationships with Finance, Customer Service, R&D, Regulatory, Operations, Procurement and Packaging.
- Lead weekly cross functional teams to identify/develop new and existing opportunities and monitor and direct progress toward strategic goals.
- Utilize Salesforce.com for several key areas including call reports, project management, samples and regulatory requirements.
- Manage product conception through commercialization for customer base.
- Work closely with other sales segments in coordinating efforts where customer base overlaps.
- Familiarize customers with TH Foods products, services, and developments.
- Manage and attend trade shows in US market as required.
- Effectively manage budget and credit risks associated with assigned customers.
- Conduct all business transactions in a manner that upholds the high ethical standards of the Corporation.
- Conduct follow-up service calls to all accounts to ensure satisfaction with all agreements reached during sales agreement.
- Prepare documents such as price quotations, terms of sales, delivery dates, and service obligations.
- Work with customers directly and brokers at assigned customers to develop proper billing, and handling deductions.
- Maintains files, records, and other sources of competitor activity with respect to new products, promotions, pricing activities, or other marketing programs.
- Submit reports and sales plans on a timely basis.
- Travel required for sales calls at contract manufacturing customers.
- Assumes additional related responsibilities as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has no direct reports.
Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
Required: Bachelor's degree in Business/Marketing or Business plus a minimum of 10 years of related sales experience in the consumer packaged goods industry.
An excellent ability to develop management reports, presentations and spreadsheets utilizing Microsoft Office Products is required.
Preferred Bachelor's Degree with a Business Major is preferred, or work equivalent.
Experience in the food related consumer packaged goods industry preferred.
Sales or Sales Administrative experience of 10 years preferred
Language Skills
This position requires the ability to read, write and speak English in order to: read requests for proposals; contracts, correspond and communicate with current and prospective customers, employees, auditors and make presentations when required. Ability to fluently communicate in the Spanish Language for selling into the Hispanic retail market a plus.

Work Environment
Works individually and must be a self-starter able to work with minimal supervision. Good business judgment and flexibility will be required to keep up with constantly changing needs of customers and brokers. This requires some travel (10-15%). Will need excellent administrative and communicative skills to keep projects on track at the office or when traveling. This position requires occasional weekend work and regular workdays in excess of eight hours per day. Occasional lifting, bending, and carrying will be required due to shows and sample transport.
