Job Description:
As the Business Development Manager specializing in trucking and logistics, you will play a pivotal role in driving growth and expanding our presence in the market. Your primary responsibilities will include:
Responsibilities:
- Identifying and Pursuing New Business Opportunities with Cold Calling: Utilize your expertise in trucking and logistics to identify potential clients and partnerships that align with our business objectives.
- Developing Strategic Relationships: Cultivate and nurture relationships with key stakeholders in the industry, including carriers, shippers, and logistics partners, to establish mutually beneficial partnerships.
- Creating and Implementing Sales Strategies: Develop comprehensive sales strategies to effectively promote our services and secure new business opportunities within the trucking and logistics sector.
- Analyzing Market Trends: Stay abreast of market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify emerging opportunities and potential challenges.
- Collaborating with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, operations, and finance, to ensure seamless execution of business development initiatives and alignment with company goals.
- Driving Revenue Growth: Achieve and exceed sales targets by effectively leveraging your knowledge and expertise in trucking and logistics to generate revenue and maximize profitability.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field. MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management within the trucking and logistics industry.
- 8+ years in the logistics industry.
- Proven track record of successfully identifying and securing new business opportunities.
- Strong understanding of trucking and logistics operations, market dynamics, and industry trends.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
