Get Fresh Produce has been providing fresh produce and other products to restaurants and other end-users in the Chicago area since 1982. We are currently seeking applications for the position of Business Development Manager at our main location in Bartlett, IL. As a Business Development Manager, your main responsibilities will include securing leads, generating new revenue, mentoring sales executives, and partnering with the Chief Revenue Officer to establish relationships and connections in the market.
Essential Functions:
- Represent Get Fresh at Networking Events and Trade Shows
- Prospect new customers and opportunities
- Expand revenue opportunities within existing customers
- Keep up-to-date knowledge of the competitive landscape
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of products
- Coordinate with supply chain and produce development to ensure timely development of product and accurate order fulfillment.
- Solicit, evaluate, and advocate for customer product and feature requests to improve offerings and service
- Deliver to the assigned revenue and margin objectives
Competencies:
- Must be able to speak and write fluently in English
- Bi-lingual in Spanish is preferred
- Reliable transportation required
- Strong relationship management and interpersonal skills (high EQ)

Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent plus related specialized coursework and at least 1 year of successful fresh produce wholesale or retail sales or related management experience.
- Proficient skills in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, Microsoft Office (particularly Excel), and common e-mail systems
Work Schedule:
- Monday through Friday with a Saturday rotation (Hybrid Schedule after the training period)
Compensation:
- $65,000 /Year + Commission Program
Physical Demands:
- Occasionally lift up to 25 lbs
- Travel as needed and required
- Stand or sit for long periods of time
