Job Title: Business Development Manager/Associate Director – Biopharma
Location: Boston, MA
Qilu Pharmaceuticals, a leading Chinese biopharmaceutical company, is seeking a motivated and dynamic Business Development Manager/Associate Director to join our Boston Innovation team. This role is focused on identifying and securing strategic partnerships for out-licensing and in-licensing opportunities, fostering external innovation in the U.S., and building strong relationships with major pharmaceutical companies and venture capital firms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to identify and secure out-licensing opportunities for the Qilu Pharmaceutical’s innovative drug pipelines.
- Lead outreach and discussions with potential partners, including large pharmaceutical companies, biotech firms, and venture capital entities.
- Proactively source and evaluate potential partners that align with the company’s strategic objectives.
- Conduct thorough research to identify industry trends, market needs, and competitive landscapes.
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations to enhance the company’s business development strategies.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including R&D, regulatory, and legal departments, to ensure seamless deal execution.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (BS) and Ph.D. in Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field from a top U.S. university.
- Minimum of 2+ years of professional experience in business development, with a focus on out-licensing in the biopharma or biotech sectors.
- Proven track record of sourcing and evaluating potential partners in the U.S. market.
- Strong understanding of the drug development process, intellectual property, and licensing frameworks.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Established network within U.S.-based large pharmaceutical companies and venture capital firms.
- Demonstrated success in closing out-licensing deals.
