Dewberry Architects Inc. is seeking an energetic Business Development Manager for their Orlando office. We are looking for an experienced business development professional that has deep knowledge of the Central Florida market, with working knowledge of adjacent geographies, in the municipal, county, and state markets, and commercial client relationships. The ideal applicant will be degreed and have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in business development, ideally in the A/E or related fields.

This person is a self-starter and is comfortable working alone or with others to generate and nurture relationships, leading to sustainable sales and business growth. Required Skills & Required Experience:This person is a self-starter and is comfortable working alone or with others to generate and nurture relationships, leading to sustainable sales and business growth. The selected candidate has the skill to look ahead and build on to their past experiences, while regularly challenging themselves to stretch their role. Regular responsibilities will include:
- With office leadership, develop a growth strategy focused on generating sustained sales through relationships, new/existing leads, and lead management.
- Arrange and attend business development meetings with current and prospective clients for all teammates.
- Conduct research to identify prospective partners, new markets, and client needs
- Develop expertise in market trends and activity, with deep knowledge of potential impacts to clients
- Participate in the generation of sustained year over year sales
- Promote the full range of Dewberry’s services to clients
- Provide trustworthy feedback and de-brief support.
- Build long-term relationships with new and existing clients
- Manage a robust relationship pipeline with current and future clients, partners, contractors, and other industry and community leadership
- Assist with developing mid and entry level staff members into valuable business developers
- Assist the team with meeting and interview prep
- Attend industry events and get involved in organizations deemed worthy by the team to continue to have a presence in the community.
- Be an ambitious and energetic representative to help Dewberry to expand client base
Must have a valid driver’s license, good driving record and ability to pass a driving record background check.
