About the Role
As the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for how we sell our Creative Services and will play a pivotal role in expanding our client base and driving revenue growth. You will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, and closing new business opportunities with major brands that are seeking creative marketing solutions across various digital channels. You will work with our sales teams and the wider agency, focusing on taking our RFI, RFP, and pitch presentations to the next level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing a Deep Understanding of our Creative Products: Working alongside our creative team, you will be expected to gain a through understanding of each of our creative products, our processes, pricing, and how they work together in conjunction with our advertising services in order to identify opportunities and speak as a SME. You will also contribute to expanding our service offerings and providing feedback for ongoing improvement.
- Prospecting and Lead Generation: Proactively identify and pursue potential clients through cold calling, email outreach, and networking as well as manage RFPs, inbound leads, and high-value outbound sales efforts.
- Client Relationship Building: Initiate and cultivate strong relationships with C-suite executives, client leadership, and other decision-makers. Conduct in-depth client needs assessments to fully understand the company's marketing goals and challenges.
- Pitching and Presenting: Develop and deliver compelling pitch presentations that highlight Channel Bakers' unique creative services and value proposition.
- Sales Process Management: Manage the entire sales cycle, from initial contact to contract signing. Proficiency in using CRM systems, particularly HubSpot
- Collaboration: Cross-functional capabilities to collaborate effectively with both marketing and business development teams, as well as the Client Success team to ensure a seamless client experience. Also, collaborate with the creative and strategy teams to develop customized solutions based on client needs and goals.
- Data-Driven Insights: Utilize data and analytics to inform your sales strategy and tailor pitches to specific client needs.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and guide junior team members to achieve sales goals.
Alignment with Marketing and Business Development.
- Collaborative Goals: Work with the marketing team to align business development strategies with broader marketing initiatives.
- Integrated Reporting: Provide insights from business development activities to refine marketing strategies and support lead generation objectives.
- Unified Performance Metrics: Ensure that business development targets contribute to the overall goals of both marketing and business development, facilitating a cohesive strategy for growth.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in business development or sales within the online advertising, creative services, or digital marketing industry.
- Proven track record of closing deals and exceeding sales targets.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing channels, particularly Amazon Advertising, Google Ads, Facebook Ads, and TikTok.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to build strong relationships and influence key decision-makers.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and sales methodologies.
- A passion for digital marketing and a desire to stay up-to-date with industry trends.
