Our company is located in the Greater Boston area and the Business Development Manage will be responsible for driving business growth across our client’s portfolio of services, including laboratory asset management, laboratory relocations and contract services. The ideal candidate should have experience in selling these or related project based sales related to laboratories or science-based industries.
This is a consultative sale where you will provide solutions suited to the unique needs of each client. To be successful in this role, you must have a proven track record of developing strong relationships with clients and have exceptional written and oral communication skills. Business Development Manager Responsibilities
- Increase sales performance across professional services through existing and new clients
- Seek out and identify potential new client opportunities
- Arrange on-site visits with prospective clients to evaluate their laboratory needs
- Work with clients to develop consultative and integrated solutions
- Develop and issue proposals for client projects
- Prepare quarterly sales performance summaries
- Attend trade shows and other related events to network and build brand awareness
- Ensure a high level of client satisfaction through regular follow-up and relationship building
- Assist with acquiring, preparing, and presenting market intelligence, trends, and insights
- Attend and contribute to internal sales and marketing strategy meetings
