ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM:

Whatever the form of travel, there’s the need for safe and seamless automated journeys, smarter more efficient borders, better on-time performance, and greater capacity. Across the travel industry we face similar issues and there is a need to tackle these together through common and shared approaches — be that for air travel, cruises, railways, or events. At SITA, we are taking our strong track record in connecting various stakeholders across airlines, airports and governments in the air transport industry and expanding to the wider travel market. 

As a North America Sales & Business Development (Business Development Graduate), you will have the exciting opportunity to support the adoption of sales-related programs across North America while also providing overall sales coordination of some our largest and most complex sales opportunities.

You will work in a fast-paced environment alongside the North America Sales & Business Development team. You derive energy from working with others of diverse backgrounds and engaging directly with customers. Essential to the role is an ability to proactively manage programs while managing multiple stakeholders internally and externally. 

In this hands-on role you will earn trust through performance and relationship building. You will be required to work effectively with strong coordination and planning skills and leverage your analytic skills to assist the Sales & Business Development teams.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Work closely with Sales & Business Development team to best support Account and Territory development plans.
• Research airport construction projects through firsthand search and document findings of budget, timelines, and pertinent industry news.
• Track US Federal funds available (BIL/FAA) to stay informed about market trends and identify potential new businesses opportunities.
• Read and highlight areas of interest for SITA as it relates to airport construction documents such as Requirement for Performance of Work (RPW), Basis of Design (BOD), Concept of Operations (CONOPS) and use case development and testing for Operational Readiness and Airport Transition (ORAT).
• Coordination of action items and next steps throughout large complex business pursuits.
• Assisting and coordinating initiatives that drive sales effectiveness, including project plans, assembling resources, change order activities, support, and measurement of results.

EXPERIENCE:

• Strong Project Coordination capabilities.
  Ability to gather data from multiple, often disparate, sources and create meaningful reports.
• Excellent with people and capable of interacting in a professional manner with colleagues and cross-functional team members, customers, and third-party agencies (as needed).
  Exceptional verbal skills and writing skills.
• Power Bi, MS Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams, Sales Force.
• Strong interest in technology and the air transport industry.
• Respectful and supportive of cultural diversity.
• Able to work on a virtual team, with resources from different organizations, to achieve shared targets.
