You are customer focused, passionate about working with and supporting technology companies in the Innovation Economy, enjoy building relationships and bringing in new clients.  A role as a Business Development Executive is for you.As a Business Development Executive on the Technology, Middle Market Banking team, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our presence within the innovation economy and have a history of business development experience and a strong network in the technology/startup ecosystem.The Technology team is part of J.P. Morgan's Commercial Bank in its Middle Market Banking and Specialized Industries group. In this role, you will be a creative and strategic thinker to build community and brand awareness in the local market including driving the prospecting strategy, client acquisition, channel partner management, and strong collaboration with the local Bankers in your market.  We work both independently and as part of a dynamic team to deliver the entire firm to our clients. Job ResponsibilitiesDrive top line revenues while maximizing efficiency for the business, with a keen eye towards risk mitigation and complianceServe as mentor and coach to the banking team and lead the region’s prospecting activities. This may include cross-selling of existing clients when appropriate.Plan and host networking and content-focused events with key centers of influence in the local marketLead the new business origination strategy for the local market in close coordination with local market executives and the venture capital coverage teamIdentify top technology companies in the Innovation Economy and connect with their key executives (Founders, CFO, VP of Finance, etc.)Utilize data-driven insights to prioritize prospects and tailor customized outreach strategiesBuild a channel partnership pipeline with success and market share tracking, working with the Startup Banking team to build a standardized approach for measurement and evaluationLeverage key partner relationships to enhance outreach efforts and drive new client acquisitionExecute a strategic events strategy focused on building new connections and enhancing the JPMorgan brank in your marketKeep a pulse on market trends and emerging technologies, with a focus on ecosystem and network growth in the territory assignedPartner closely with Banking, Credit, Treasury and Service partners, as well as Asset Management, Private Bank and Investment Bank colleagues, to introduce our prospects to our broad product capabilitiesRequired Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills8+ years’ of experience including 2+ years’ in business development, or other relevant sales experience in the technology ecosystemProven track record of sourcing and navigating complex sales opportunities, ideally in commercial banking, venture debt, venture capital, or other technology-related servicesAbility to build community and brand awareness in a dynamic marketHistory of planning and executing an events and content strategyUtilize seasoned judgment to offer comprehensive and customized solutions that best meet potential client needsMonitor and research market/industry trends and business outcomes to present relevant and insightful solutions to potential clientsFINRA Series 79, 63 and Securities Industry Essentials licenses required or must obtain within 180 days of hire Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and SkillsAbility to leverage your network, market knowledge, and startup experience to deliver a top-notch client and partner experienceA deep understanding of JPMorgan Commercial Banking products and servicesAbility to work collaboratively with our Bankers, Treasury Management Officers, and other key product partnersCapable of operating independently and possesses excellent partnership, communication, and marketing skills
