About the role:
CBRE is seeking a motivated professional to take a leadership role in managing Community Solar opportunities for CBRE Renewables Advisory team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of the community solar marketplace, experience negotiating subscription transactions and the ability to structure deals on behalf of large corporate accounts.
The CBRE Renewables team has a start-up like culture that requires innovation and agility from all of its team members. This role is for an individual who is passionate about growing and innovating within the renewable energy marketplace.
What you'll do:
+ Lead Community Solar Transactions: Structure and negotiate subscription deals on behalf of CBRE corporate clients.
+ Innovate Structuring: Use client and developer feedback to devise new transaction structures that addresses client needs balanced against developer needs.
+ Manage and Grow Client Relationships: Establish and improve relationships with existing clients by delivering on community solar goals. Coordinate with CBRE business development team to identify and engage great-fit, client prospects.
+ Market Development: Coordinate advocacy between industry trade organization and clients to facilitate the creation of new policy-enabled community solar markets.
+ Enhance Developer Network: Support new developer outreach to identify new project pipeline.
+ Thought Leadership: Collaborate with the CBRE Renewables team to build informative collateral, participate in industry conferences, and contribute to initiatives that further establish CBRE as a leader in the field.
+ Travel up to 15%
What you'll need:
+ Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
+ Prior experience successfully negotiating community solar subscriptions with corporations.
+ In-depth understanding of community solar program rules and marketplaces.
+ Ability to build positive relationships across interpersonal levels
+ Prior experience developing renewable energy projects preferred
+ Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the position is $160,000 annually and the maximum salary for the position is $220,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
