Role Overview and Responsibilities:Summary: Business Development Director is the senior level outside sales position with responsibilities for new sales and new customer logo’s development. The Business Development Director is responsible for identifying prospective opportunities, developing new customer relationships, implementing the sales and marketing plan.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Responsible for generating and converting a strong pipeline of opportunities that will lead to sustainable, profitable growth for the Medical business.
- Ability to communicate Medical Device capabilities and broader TT Sales and Marketing overview.
- Partner with Business Development team on sales initiatives for the Minneapolis site, including shows and exhibits.
- Regularly meet with prospective new customers to identify strategic opportunities that align new business growth objectives.
- Prepare and execute strategic penetration plans for assigned territory and/or assigned strategic market segments and assigned customer targets.
- Responsible to ensure all new business opportunities meet the financial requirements and accountable for forecasting, planning, and achieving new business objectives.
- Extensive understanding of key market differentiators and competitive landscape.
- Develops comprehensive knowledge of prospective customer’s end-market and align with offerings.
- Lead reviews of new business plans with Executive Team and Minneapolis Leadership Team.
- Completion of weekly and monthly reports and CRM data as required.
- Coordinates with the internal organization from initial project approval to final quote review.
- Provides input and recommendations on marketing promotional programs.
- Other duties as required and/or assigned.

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in related field with a thorough knowledge of customer applications.
- Five plus years direct selling experience in electronic manufacturing or an equivalent field.
- Working knowledge of Salesforce or another CRM tool.
