About the Job
Intro Role
At Cleantech Group, we are building a high-performance sales culture to support and expand our research, events and consulting solutions.
You will play a key role in driving growth from new clients, and having an entrepreneurial mindset is key. You will engage in a consultative sales approach to understand prospect needs and articulate how the Cleantech Group delivers market and technology insights in support of their decision making.
You will be part of the Americas sales team reporting to the Director of Sales & Client Services.
Although the position is fully remote, being based in the greater Boston area is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a sales strategy focused on acquiring new business in your territory.
- Identify, qualify, and close new opportunities across our services.
- Produce accurate and timely forecasts and manage pipeline and related data in Salesforce.
- Develop a thorough understanding of the Cleantech Group’s products and services.
- Work closely with our research, events, and consulting teams to offer the best solutions.
- In cooperation with Marketing build and execute targeted prospecting campaigns.
Requirements (you don’t need all of these to apply)
- MBA or similar.
- 5+ years’ experience selling in a similar, new business, role.
- Demonstrated record of successfully selling intangible services (consulting, research, services).
- Experience in value-based selling to executives.
- Strong presentation, negotiation and closing skills.
- Knowledge of the cleantech sector preferred.
- Self-motivated, proactive and solution driven.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
