Peterson Technology Partners (PTP) is a 27 year old IT staffing and Services firm. We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Associate to partner with our CMO, a C-level seller, to build an extraordinary sales team.
Position Summary
This role is a unique opportunity for an ambitious and driven sales professional. As a Business Development Associate, you will work directly with our CMO, who brings enterprise CIO credentials to the sales process. Together, you’ll develop enterprise and Fortune 500 accounts through a full-cycle sales approach, combining strategic leadership with tactical execution.
This position is ideal for an experienced and competitive sales professional with a hunter mindset, ready to seize a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
• Team Selling: Partner with the CMO to build and manage the sales pipeline from prospecting to closing deals.
• Lead Generation: Conduct outbound prospecting activities, including calls, emails, and networking, to uncover new opportunities within enterprise and Fortune 500 companies.
• Sales Cycle Management: Handle discovery meetings, deal development, and sales administration to optimize the CMO’s focus on high-impact activities.
• Relationship Building: Cultivate relationships with key decision-makers in the Chicagoland IT market.
• Collaboration: Work seamlessly with the CMO to ensure alignment in strategies and execution.
Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor’s degree (all majors considered); online degrees are accepted. Demonstrated leadership or teamwork during college is a plus.
Experience:
• Minimum 4 years of enterprise IT sales experience at the BDR or AE level.
• Proven track record of outbound selling and achieving measurable results.
• Background in IT staffing/augmentation is a plus but not required.

Compensation & Benefits
• Base Salary: Starting at $65,000/year + Commission + Bonus
