About the Job
Key Responsibilities:
- Proposal Development: Craft compelling, compliant, and technically sound proposals.
- Technical Writing: Author compelling Technical narratives (IT/Digital Modernization, Cyber Security, AI, Cloud, SW Development, and Professional services) that address RFI/RFP and RFQ technical requirements. Coordinate with cross-functional technical and management teams to gather information, structure responses, and ensure alignment with customer requirements and objectives.
- Market Research: Conduct thorough research and analysis of market trends, competitor capabilities, and government procurement forecasts. Utilize business intelligence tools to identify new business opportunities and strategic partnerships.
- Task Order Qualification: Evaluate potential task orders and projects, assessing strategic fit, profitability, and alignment with company capabilities and growth objectives. Ensure thorough vetting processes to prioritize bidding efforts.
- Customer Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with potential clients, existing customers, and key stakeholders. Understand customer needs and align our offerings effectively.
- Collaboration and Reporting: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, technical experts, and senior management, to develop strategies and solutions. Provide regular updates on market conditions, opportunity pipeline, and business development activities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Proven experience in business development or proposal writing within the federal contracting space.
- Strong understanding of federal procurement processes and regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to produce detailed and accurate documentation.
- Ability to analyze and interpret business intelligence data to support decision-making.
- Experience with CRM and business intelligence platforms.
- Prior experience in a similar role within the defense, aerospace, or technology sectors.
- Active security clearance or eligibility to obtain one.
