About the Job
We are seeking a Business Development Associate to join our team located in San Jose, CA!
This is a non-managerial, B2B sales position with the Business Development team, reporting to the Business Development Manager.
You will be trained to meet with some of the best tech engineers in order to provide technical support, samples, help resolve problems in their design, and promote KGS products to ultimately drive company revenue.
About KGS America
KITAGAWA INDUSTRIES America (dba: KGS America; formerly Intermark USA) been in business since 1990. The San Jose site is a sales office for Kitagawa Industries in Japan, a design and manufacturer of solution products for electromagnetic noise, heat, and vibration issues at board and system levels. KGS also produces small, plastic injection molded parts (such as clamps, straps, and spacers) for the electronics market.
Kitagawa Industries is headquartered in Nagoya, Japan and has been in business since 1955.
KGS customers include those in consumer electronics, telecommunications and networks, medical, industrial, and automotive fields.
Responsibilities:
- Organize sales material (like product samples and flyers) and present to engineers and decision-makers
- Provide technical support (over the phone/emails and on-site) to offer best ideas and solutions
- Prospect and contact potential customers for meeting appointments; expected to communicate with customers via zoom, by web/phone conference, and email/text/standard phone calls
- generate strong leads at trade shows (in-person when events resume)
- Present technical seminars on-site and online
- Some domestic travelling and business trips to customers’ locations such as Detroit, Chicago, Seattle, and San Diego (when travel resumes).
Required Qualifications:
- Some experience in sales, customer service, sciences, or other similar interpersonal skills
- Ability to build rapport with clients and desire to develop business relationships
- Able to work well under pressure and take constructive criticism from customers, peers, and management
- Strong problem solving, negotiation, and time management skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Maintain a positive attitude and appropriate attire
- Focus on customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment
- Some proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Valid driver’s license
Desired Qualifications (a plus, but not required):
- Previous experience in sales, customer service, or other related fields
- Background in physics, chemistry, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, applied materials, etc.
Compensation:
- $50,000~$60,000 DOE
- Medical, Dental, Vision insurance
