Business Development Associate | Pharma Services Coverage

The Marketing team at Crosstree is responsible for developing and promoting the firm’s brand, organizing, and executing conference events, and partnering with the deal origination team to develop top of funnel leads for deal origination. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Marketing, this role offers a unique opportunity to shape our sales strategy and partner with the Marketing team to support the Managing Director of Pharma Services coverage. You will play a pivotal role in supporting business origination strategies by positioning Crosstree as the premier M&A in the Pharma Services space. Position Responsibilities:
- Prospecting: Produce a high volume of outbound sales touches such as phone calls and email prospecting to specific Pharma Services Companies and/or their Private Equity owners, pre-selected by the Managing Director of Pharma Services
- Research: Conduct market research to ensure the tracking and awareness of relevant industry events, market updates, and press releases
- Meeting Coordination: Working with the Managing Director of Pharma Services to set quality meetings with potential SQLs
- Sales Asset Production: Collaborating with the Marketing Specialist and Managing Director of Pharma Services to produce sales-related assets
- Sales Reporting: Reporting on prospecting activity results and lead lifecycle analytics
- Other Marketing/Sales Projects: Complete ad-hoc marketing and sales projects to support department objectives
Required Experience / Skills:
- Minimum of 2-4 years of investment banking or related financial institutions experience highly preferred professional sales and marketing experience required (professional services industry experience highly preferred).
- Knowledge of M&A/Private Equity, and Fund Formation is a plus.
- Interest in the pharmaceutical and/or drug development market is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to synthesize information and facts to provide brief yet detailed company profiles, industry overviews, biographical summaries, and analyze key matters, industry trends and competitive intelligence
- Ability to work independently
- A high level of discipline, accountability, and initiative
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills
- Prior sales experience
- Comfortable making cold call inquiries by phone
- Proven track record of success
- Superior listening skills
- Experience working in a CRM (HubSpot experience highly preferred)
- Proficient with MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Effective collaborator who is both dedicated and motivated
Education: Bachelor's degree in a Business-related field.
Hours: 40 hours a week
Compensation: Competitive base salary + bonus
Position Location: Tampa, FL* or Fully Remote (with a hybrid work schedule*)
*3-day WFH /2-day Office ~ on average; may change on the needs of business based on time of year.
