About the Role:The Business Development Assistant – BD CORE is an integral part of Latham’s Business Development team. This role will be responsible for providing administrative support to the global Business Development (BD) department, while providing a high level of customer service to internal and external clients. This role will be located in our New York office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.
Responsibilities & Qualifications:Other key responsibilities include:
- Staying abreast of firm resources, contacts, and subject matter experts to provide alternative solutions when a request cannot be fulfilled via the designated BD CORE team or can be fulfilled more efficiently through an alternative resource
- Entering all assigned service requests into the ServiceNow ticketing system and monitoring tickets from open to close status, ensuring all service level agreements are met
- Learning Latham-specific tools and applications as necessary to perform certain research or other related job duties
- Supporting the global BD department with a suite of core services, including biography edits, client and competitor research and analysis, utilizing CapitalIQ, Pitchbook, and other publicly available resources, research for client seminars and client events, marketing collateral support, including updates to client presentations, pitch documents, directory submissions, and newsletters, CRM research, updates, and data entry, updating and producing expense and invoice reports, and document conversion and formatting (Word and PPT)
- Assisting with special projects when necessary
- Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains

- Demonstrate well-developed and professional interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the firm
- Possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Display the ability to work in a team environment with a customer-service focus
And have:
- A high school diploma or an equivalent
- A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent in a related field, preferably
- A minimum of one (1) year of professional services or law firm experience, preferably

Pay Range:USD $60,000.00 - USD $70,000.00 /Yr.
