About the Job
The Business Development Analyst is responsible for leveraging quantitative and independent research skills in analysis of large, complex, and incomplete data sets to identify and assess potential business opportunities that result in measurable revenue growth. The Analyst will develop an overall win strategy as well as internal and external partnerships, business plans and associated marketing assigned with designated opportunities, within Federal Financial Agencies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and manage new strategic business opportunities, initiatives, mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, alliances and joint ventures.
- Oversee market analysis, monitor competitive activity, and identify customer needs.
- Identify and develop strategic relationships with partners or potential customers.
- Work with marketing, sales, and product development teams.
- Conduct business planning activities to include: operating plan development, bid agenda development, opportunity gate reviews, win theme, and proposal reviews.
- May provide brief business development status to senior management at specified milestones in the business development process.
- May conduct after-action reviews to document lessons learned and identify necessary adjustments to capture technique, strategy, and actions.
- Brief segment and corporate leadership in the bid review process, execute action item outputs and maintain accountability for bid delivery.
•Evaluate and support the business development team in managing new strategic business opportunities, initiatives, mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, alliances and joint ventures.

•Provide analysis and supporting materials in the planning, designing, due diligence, and implementing of strategic business objectives.
•Build and maintain a repository of corporate and other research findings.
•Identify and assist with development of strategic relationships with partners or potential customers.
•Work with marketing, sales, and product development teams to implement business development initiatives.
•Provide support and research related to business planning activities, to include operating plan development, bid agenda development, opportunity gate reviews, win theme and proposal reviews.
•Brief opportunity pursuit status to management at specified milestones in the pursuit/capture process.
•Conduct after action reviews to document lessons learned and identify necessary adjustments to capture technique, strategy, and actions.
•Brief segment and corporate leadership in the bid review process and execute action item outputs.
•Assist with proposal response activities, including but not limited to past performance, resumes`, aligning support resources and additional content.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in related field.
- 3-5 years relevant professional experience.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience considered in lieu of education.
•Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required, equivalent experience considered in lieu of degree.
•Exposure and understanding of the Federal government and public sector market; Federal Financial Agencies, including Treasury and IRS a plus.
•Ability to exercise sound judgment within broadly defined practices and policies.
•Ability to interact with all levels of Management, partners, and team members, staff and customers displaying a high degree of tact and diplomacy.
•Must possess business and solution vision, disciplined strategic thinking, analytical presentation and problem solving skills, ability to gain internal support and ability to maintain a solid working relationships with team, managers, and peers.
•Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
•Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment.
•Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
•Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
•Ability to work as a team member, as well as independently.
•Ability to maintain confidentiality and security of all information.
Desired Skills:
-Experience with Salesforce, GovWin or Bloomberg a plus.

Pay Transparency
Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Additionally, Maximus provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience. An applicant's salary history will not be used in determining compensation. Maximus will comply with regulatory minimum wage rates and exempt salary thresholds in all instances.
