Business Development Analyst Intern - Maximus

About the Job
The individual will be a part of a team performing business development for the MAXIMUS Federal business development/sales organization. The individual will support business development professionals performing operations research and analysis. Support tasks will include market analysis, identification of technology trends, development of competitive assessments, and detailed research into customer mission and strategy. The individual will support proposal operations for assigned opportunities. This position will require the intern to visit our company headquarters in Tyson's Corner, VA once per month for an onsite meeting, with additional opportunities to travel possible.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•Assist with Salesforce administration; including opportunity management; facilitation of new and existing reporting and dashboard development.
•Work with sales leads on the identification of new opportunities and lead generation.
•Assist with the set-up and coordination of business development meetings.
Additional Requirements:
•Strong understanding of IT services, conducting market research, writing skills, and attention to detail
•Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products - specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
•Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
•Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline oriented work environment
•Ability to successfully execute many complex tasks simultaneously
•Ability to work as a team member, as well as independently
•Ability to use spreadsheet, database, and/or reporting software to do analysis
•Ability to exercise sound judgment within broadly defined practices and policies
•Regularly interact with all levels of management, infrastructure points of contact, staff, and customers; and display a high degree of tact and diplomacy

- Research potential market trends.
- Assist in special projects in the Business Development department.
- Assist with ad-hoc reporting and other tasks.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing a college degree in a related field.
- Must have completed a minimum 2 years of coursework.
- Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment.
- Skilled in standard computer applications and platforms such as Outlook and MS Office Suite, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Excellent interpersonal communication, teamwork, and customer service skills.
- Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple priorities with superior attention to detail.

Pay Transparency
Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards.
