BUSINESS COMMUNITY MANAGER WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY? Responsible in building a network and managing ongoing partnerships in the small business communities such as Certified Development Financing Institutions (CDFI) and related small business non-profit organizations and/or affiliations.
Responsibilities include partnering with CRA, Community Relations, Marketing, and other lines of business in identification, implementation, execution and participation of partnership opportunities.
Responsible for local market engagements to increase the overall visibility of the Small Business Program Ladder Up Program.
Responsible for facilitating and originating small business loans that is within the developed special purpose credit program for small business in our communities within designated approved geographic areas (Los Angeles, San Francisco/Oakland, New York, and Washington D.C.) Responsibilities also include support, facilitate, and originate of any internal colleague's referrals for such credit requests.
Role requires to also help create, facilitate, and educate by providing small business financial literacy education by hosting and/or participating in webinars, speaking opportunities, lunch and learns etc.
on behalf of City National Bank along with our community partners in respective geographies; and to ultimately become the subject matter expert externally and internally within CNB.
Annual key performance indicators (KPI) are developed based on total originations and relationships onboarding within each respective market, overall portfolio performance, local market integration (internal and external), and overall community partnerships engagements.
What you will do Build, solidify and maintain a small business community partners network.
Coordinate all vendor management tasks inclusive of working with external vendors and internal employees Establish professional and working relationships with internal partners.
Identify and assess community partnerships’ viability aligning with CNB’s goals and objectives Originate, facilitate, review small business credits/ lending under the special purpose credit program-small business ladder up.
Onboard and acquire overall banking relationships.
Responsible for managing overall client portfolio upon banking relationships onboard.
Assess, adhere to and be prudent with both credit and bank’s overall risk appetite and management.
Support internal colleagues’ referrals and inquiries as subject matter expert of Small Business Ladder Up Program.
Partnering with community banking partners like Community Lending, CRA, Community Relations, Marketing and other stakeholders with small business general community efforts and manage the process and performance tracking for Small Business Ladder Up Program.
Routine reporting to Consumer/PBB leadership on key performance metrics Must-Have* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent Minimum of 5+ years experience in small business lending, underwriting, review, credit originations and overall banking relationships acquisition including deposits and other ancillary banking products) Minimum of 3+ years of coaching, training and presentation experience Minimum of 5 years in small business community engagement and involvement (CDFI, SBIC, Non-Profit organizations) Minimum of 8+ years in overall banking sales experience, predominantly in small business and business banking segments.
Skills and Knowledge Strong project management skills (organizing, planning, reporting, documenting, driving tasks to closure, etc.) Strong analytical skills, working with various data points/metrics and drawing conclusions Seasoned problem-solving, analytical and decision-making skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to create influential documents, presentations and group or team facilitation.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools; specifically, Excel and PowerPoint Compensation Starting base salary: $127,626 - $237,014 per year.
Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
