About the Job
A well-established business law firm is seeking an experienced attorney to join their recognized Litigation practice, specializing in business and commercial litigation. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience handling complex legal matters, with a focus on litigation and dispute resolution.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research and analysis on complex business and commercial litigation matters.
- Prepare pleadings, motions, and other legal documents in support of litigation.
- Draft and respond to discovery requests, including interrogatories and document requests.
- Take and defend depositions as part of case development and strategy.
- Represent clients in court appearances, hearings, and mediations.
- Assist in trial preparation, including witness preparation, evidence organization, and strategy development.
- Mediate disputes and negotiate settlements on behalf of clients.
- Collaborate with colleagues and provide strategic input on case management.
Qualifications:
- JD degree from an ABA accredited law school.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in business and commercial litigation, including commercial collections.
- Strong legal research and writing skills.
- Experience in drafting pleadings, discovery, and other legal correspondence.
- Ability to take and defend depositions. and represent clients in court appearances and mediation.
- Trial experience is a plus, but not required.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines effectively.
