We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Business Architect to join our Enterprise Architecture team. This role can be located in either Pittsburgh or Lake Mary (Northern Orlando, FL) offices via hybrid work arrangement (3 days per week in office).
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- Strategically guide the design and realization of business and operating models - Leading strategic planning initiatives to develop long-term plans and target states
- Analyzing the current state of the business and identifying areas for improvement
- Developing and maintaining a firm-wide capability model to ensure that the organization has the necessary capabilities to achieve its goals.
- Researches and drives architectural designs with solution/domain architects and application teams with respect to business capabilities. Creates and leverages redundancy reports and enforces best practices and principles of a capability driven architecture.
- The business architect may also run or support reimagining engagements for internal and external client. These will include providing reimagining artifacts such as conceptual target state, service design diagrams and support of business cases to name a few.
- Support organizational change and investments in response to disruptive forces and toward achieving targeted business outcomes - Drive portfolio shaping initiatives to influence annual budgeting process that further progresses target state vision across the platforms and lines of businesses
- Developing and maintaining service taxonomy to organize and categorize the organization’s services offerings
- Provide governance on artificial intelligence and machine learning models. Work closely with data privacy forum and enterprise architects
- Communicating the business architecture to stakeholders and ensuring its adoption throughout the organization
- Provide ease of access to business architecture information via portals and reporting capabilities.
- Support the evolution of the Enterprise Architecture teams’ services and help define the strategy for the EA discipline
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- 10+ years of experience in business architecture, with a strong background in both business and technology. This experience will help ensure that the business architect has the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively design and implement business strategies that align with the organization's goals, and to bridge the gap between business and technology.
- In addition to the individual contributor primary responsibilities, may also have managerial responsibilities such as: recruits, directs, motivates and develops staff, maximizing their individual contribution, their professional growth and their ability to function effectively with their colleagues as a team. May also manage and forecast operating budget within the approved plan.
