Job Description
Position acts as liaison between client area, technical organization, and other affected areas by planning, conducting, and directing the analysis of highly complex business problems to be solved through strategic e-commerce-based solutions (e.g., Intranet and Internet).
Position functions as business systems analyst for large and complex projects. Responsible to elicit, analyze, and produce detailed business requirements/specification documents, including conducting walkthrough meetings of the produced documents with impacted technical/system groups, testing groups, servicing groups, and business groups. All requirements documentation will adhere to group's stated business requirements standards and guidelines.
Position may act as an internal consultant within technology and business groups by evaluating current processes and recommending new e-commerce solutions that reduce costs or extend current capabilities. Tools used to evaluate current processes may be industry tools or self-developed. May act as an external consultant as a participant in consortia groups. May work directly with senior management and is considered a high-level expert.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum 10+ years' experience as a business systems analyst or business analyst, ideally with experience in transactional web applications. Previous experience documenting functional requirements for a variety of software applications is required.
Candidate is well organized, able to work and learn independently, and able to manage multiple tasks. Candidate has strong elicitation and impact analysis skills, being able to take complex problems, and decompose them into well organized, detailed descriptions to facilitate problem solving. Further, candidate is able to plan and facilitate requirement-gathering sessions.
Candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills with proven ability to use and explain UML and use cases. Able to author detailed business requirements, functional and non-functional requirements documents using a variety of structured techniques (e.g., use cases, business rules, UML modeling). Solid understanding of SDLC and RUP methodology with experience writing business requirements using Rational Unified Process (RUP) artifacts (e.g., use cases, business rules, supplementary specifications, UI specs, etc.)
Candidate should have expertise in the entire MS Office suite, including Word, Excel, Visio, Power Point, Project, Outlook and Access.
The majority of the work will occur during standard business working hours and be on-site in San Francisco or Charlotte (NO Tele-Commute Working).
Preferred Skills
In addition to expertise in the entire MS Office suite, experience with other software packages such as Snag-it, ClearQuest, are preferable.
Experience working with software requirement management tools, specifically Enterprise Architect (EA) for documenting detailed business requirements (UC's, BR's, Msg Specs, Suppl's, etc.), UML activity diagrams, etc. is highly desirable.
Experience in financial services industry/background. Existing or prior knowledge of Wells Fargo, more specifically the DCG Secure Site, and further with Digital Payments/Money Movement Solutions business and functional requirements is highly desirable.
