EAM Project Overview |
Exelon has identified IFS as the EAM platform to enable its Enterprise Asset Management ( "EAM”) transformation program. Exelon has requested Client to assist in developing the foundational work management business process designs for the Work Management ( "WM”) family of processes and the detailed business process designs for the Street Light program as part of the broader EAM transformation program. |
During this Foundational Work Management and Street Lights ( "SL”) Design Phase of the transformation program, Client and Exelon will define high-level future state business processes for all Work Management processes. This documentation will include impacted organizations and technologies and define required functions and capabilities of the new platform. For Street Lights, Client and Exelon will develop detailed process designs, which will include impacted roles and tasks to enable the Street Lights capability. |
This design effort will produce a set of process documents and related deliverables to enable the subsequent implementation phases. In addition, this design effort will inform the implementation road map and value case, key deliverables of this effort. This design phase will culminate in a socialization and confirmation effort prior to launch beginning detailed design and development of the first IFS product. |
This effort will produce: |
· High-level future state process design based on IFS out of the box processes for all Work Management processes; |
· Detailed process designs for all Street Lights processes; |
· A process architecture, describing how each of these discrete processes inter-connect with each other and across the enterprise; |
· A set of documented and approved business decisions for the future of the EAM transformation program; |
· A set of Work Management requirements (or user stories and story points) for the future system, based on the process designs; |
· A set of Street Lights functional requirements (or user stories and story points) for the future EAM system; |
· The functional designs for the Street Lights capability; |
· An application landscape document, describing the flow of information and data across systems to support the future state Work Management and Street Lights process designs, including handoffs with boundary systems; |
· A road map of implementations for these processes; |
· A supporting value case for the transformation effort. |
