Summary
A successful candidate for the Business Data Analyst role will demonstrate initiative, strong attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication, a process-oriented mindset, teamwork, accountability, and proficiency in data warehouse environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the intake of Customer Extract File requests, ensuring proper documentation and approvals are in place.
- Enter Extract File requests into the Request System accurately.
- Perform balancing, verification, and audit trail creation for Extract File requests.
- Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) on the extract platform as needed.
- Address and resolve customer inquiries in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners across multiple departments.
- Document and resolve specific customer issues, including over/under payments and setup challenges.
- Escalate setup and billing issues to the appropriate management levels.
- Coordinate with senior team members and supervisors to resolve invoice errors.
- Identify, track, and report trends, escalating issues as necessary.
- Execute additional duties as assigned by management.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with Data Warehouse environments.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong understanding of Self-Funded Billing and Healthcare industry data.
- Knowledge of Eligibility, Medical Claims, Pharmacy Claims, and Lab Results.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective multitasking and prioritization skills.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a Business-related field or equivalent work experience preferred.
- 2-5 years of experience in Billing, Finance, Operations, or Information Technology within the Healthcare industry.
- Familiarity with data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Experience working with large datasets to identify trends and insights.
- Must reside in PA, NJ, or DE.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or green card holder.
- Must be able to work a hybrid schedule, with 3 days per week in the office in Philadelphia.
