We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Business Analyst to join our IT team. The Business Analyst will play a key role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions, working closely with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document requirements for IT projects and initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements for IT projects and initiatives.
- Conduct interviews, workshops, and stakeholder meetings to gather and clarify requirements, objectives, and constraints.
- Analyze and translate business requirements into functional and non-functional specifications, use cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation, including business requirements documents, process flows, data models, and system diagrams.
- Work closely with development teams to ensure that requirements are accurately understood and implemented.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration between business stakeholders and technical teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Assist in the evaluation and selection of IT solutions and vendors, including conducting vendor assessments and participating in vendor negotiations.
- Perform gap analysis and identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization.
- Support testing activities, including test planning, test case development, and user acceptance testing.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to business users, including training and documentation as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst or similar role, preferably in the IT industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex business processes and systems.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with requirements gathering techniques, such as interviews, workshops, and use case analysis.
- Proficiency in business analysis tools and techniques, such as process modeling, data modeling, and requirement management tools.
- Knowledge of software development methodologies, such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall.
- Familiarity with project management tools, such as Jira, Microsoft Project, or Trello.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of accountability and ownership.
- Certification in business analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) is a plus.
