Rate Range: $60-$65/Hr on C2C and $55/Hr on W2
Job Description:
- We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Business Analyst with a strong background in Fixed Income markets to join our team.
- The ideal candidate will possess an understanding of financial products and services, especially within the realm of fixed income investments, and will have a proven track record in gathering business requirements, analyzing complex data, and facilitating communication between business stakeholders and technical teams.
Requirements Gathering & Analysis:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders (e.g., traders, portfolio managers, risk teams) to understand their needs and challenges related to fixed income investments.
- Document and translate business requirements into functional specifications and system requirements.
- Analyze data and financial models to identify trends, risks, and opportunities within fixed income products.
- Gain a deep understanding of the organization’s fixed income offerings, including bonds, treasury bills, mortgage-backed securities, and other related instruments.
- Stay updated on market trends, regulations, and industry best practices affecting fixed income products and the broader financial market.
- Perform in-depth analysis on fixed income portfolio performance, yield curves, interest rate risk, and other key metrics.
- Produce detailed reports on performance, risk, compliance, and regulatory factors influencing fixed income investments.
- Utilize financial modeling tools and data analysis software to support investment decision-making.
- Identify inefficiencies and propose solutions to streamline processes related to fixed income trading, reporting, and portfolio management.
- Work closely with the IT department to ensure the development and enhancement of technology solutions that support fixed income operations.
- Act as the liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that all parties are aligned and that solutions meet business needs.
- Provide ongoing support and communication to ensure the successful implementation of new systems, tools, or processes.
- Assist in user acceptance testing (UAT) of new systems or enhancements related to fixed income functionality.
- Ensure that business requirements are fully met by testing and validating the performance of systems before deployment.
- Compliance & Risk Management:
- Work with compliance and risk teams to ensure that fixed income products and operations comply with internal policies and external regulations.
- Monitor fixed income portfolios for any compliance or risk issues and propose corrective actions.
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in a financial services or investment banking environment with a focus on fixed income markets.
- Fixed Income Knowledge: In-depth understanding of fixed income instruments, market conventions, and trading strategies.
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze financial data, performance metrics, and complex business problems.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with financial modeling, data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, VBA), and Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Project Management: Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
