Job Description
- Creates business process designs and business system designs that meet the business needs and help application team to deliver best in class technology platform for the managed care business.
- Develop understanding of competitors' platform and evaluate features and benefits relative to business offerings.
- Work with internal business users and sponsors to determine business requirements and translates them to system requirements. Delivers program requirements to developers and serves as the developer's point of contact for clarification and follow-up throughout the development process. Help refine managed care product roadmap.
- Creates and delivers user documentation as necessary to ensure proper use of changed and newly implemented efforts. Considers business processes and system interaction when creating this documentation. Determine proper delivery method for this communication: e.g. formal training, distribution of soft copy document etc. Works with internal training staff as necessary to ensure departmental consistency.
- Work in an agile work environment to deliver projects while balancing time and scope to support robust change and configuration management practices.
- Mentor and develop other business analysts and work with cross-functional teams to ensure cross-functional requirements are met.
- Communicate project issues to management and creating deliverables that adhere to project management standards.
- Collaborate with architecture team in devising the best architecture and designs including an emphasis on scalability and 24x7 availability.
- Collaborate with project managers and shared services teams to develop and manage work intake activities and resource plans. Research use of technology improvements and recommend creative solutions.
- Provide guidance to team members in data sensitivity and process control to determine IT security impact of team efforts.
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related, or equivalent work related experience.
Relevant Work Experience:
- 5+ years working in IT delivering applications and solutions to business users.
Additional Experience:
- Strong interpersonal, problem-solving and planning skills.
- Able to guide and influence both business users and technical users.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work with a broad group of senior leaders throughout the organization.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- MS Project or Visio experience a plus.
- Working knowledge of SQL for performing data analysis a plus.
- Understanding of financial and revenue model a plus.
- Claims processing and payment systems experience a plus.
