We have an opportunity for an experienced Business Analyst Manager to join the Firm’s Technology department.The Business Analysts Manager is responsible for managing the business analyst team in supporting the identification and implementation of process optimization opportunities which support the strategic goals of the line of business. This includes performing analysis, modification, documentation and support of daily processes for custom systems and related applications. The Manager will work closely with business unit members to understand business requirements and ensure that application systems properly function to meet business needs, delivering value across the organization. The position will consult with Practices and others as appropriate to identify current operation procedures, clarify program objectives, evaluate business requirements and implement innovative solutions in a fast paced team-oriented environment. This Manager position includes but is not limited to setting process standards, developing project plans, managing projects and tasks, managing and guiding team members (resources), performing process reviews, ensuring appropriate SDLC functions and best practices are followed, performing annual reviews, as well as coordinating vendor and consultants as necessary within projects. The Business Analysts Manager will work to improve and maintain efficient and profitable operations that also produce the highest quality of products and services and will have experience with process automation.
The Business Analysts Manager will accomplish these tasks through direct execution and involvement as well as coordinating, overseeing, and delegating with and to Technology department resources as well as external vendors, service providers, contractors, and consultants. Additional duties include working with related process stakeholders to identify and resolve related problems and issues as well as realize efficiencies as a result of process and system improvements. This position will also serve the role of project manager for some if not all related activities. This position may be remote, but the successful candidate must reside in proximate to Atlanta, GA, Charlotte, NC, or Greenville, SC.
- Lead business analyst team, and/or independently develop, test, document, implement, and maintain processes for departmental initiatives.
- Support and maintain all documentation (SOP, etc.). Analyze and identify time-sensitive process problems that could have an impact on business operations
- Communicate effectively to non-technical customers and sponsors.
- Proactively and effectively communicate potential problems, solutions and accomplishments to management
- Analyze existing processes and identify dependencies and potential break points, and recommend and implement improved technical solutions
- Partner with internal customers to understand requirements in business terms and translate those requirements into technical solutions. This includes developing new capabilities as well as break/fix
- Develop specific process documentation. Ensure approval of technical solutions from IT management and key stakeholders
- Write functional specifications
- Continuously develop technical and professional skills
- Evaluate user requests for new/modified process and programs
Essential Technical Skills:
- JIRA
- Some knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint
- At least 6 years SDLC business analysis experience
- Databases knowledge
- Process Automation systems knowledge (RPA)
- Document storage and retrieval (DMS)
- Knowledge of system life cycle/process development alternatives
- High aptitude for complex process analysis/resolution
- Law firm experience strongly preferred
- Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, MS Project (365 preferred)
- 6+ years of progressive experience working in a legal environment, as well as 3+ years as a supervisor/manager of a technical team
- Four year degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer technology, management information systems, or related fields of study or equivalent experience
- Law firm experience highly preferred
- Process Automation Systems Analysis (RPA)

- Responsible for Team management, ensuring projects and tasks as appropriately estimated, and executed on time and on budget
- Responsible as lead project manager on enterprise level project(s)
- Establishment of timelines, Gantt charts, predecessor/successor relationships, resource loading and management.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Project, JIRA, etc.
- Use of one major project deployment methodology such as Agile/Scrum
