About the Job
As a Business Analyst Lead you will lead the collection, capture, and management of mission user needs from prioritization, concept development, and feature writing to support development and deployment. Provide expertise in business process and system analysis, design, improvement, and implementation efforts and in translating business process needs into technical requirements. Provide expertise in change management and training support. Provide organizational and strategic planning for a wide variety of technical and functional environments. Provide expertise in, but not limited to, Configuration Management, Strategic Planning, Knowledge Management, Business Analysis and Technical Analysis.

- Envision, develop, and create requirements to improve tools to streamline processes to gain efficiencies and improve key metrics.
- Must be able to identify and mitigate risks. We are looking for a Business Analyst with excellent communication skills who can work with key stakeholders/customers to support planning and delivery of technical IT development Agile projects.
- Apply different techniques to facilitate meetings and workshops, create a shared understanding with stakeholders, and engage team members to produce product and portfolio roadmaps.
- Collaborates with stakeholders and product teams to decompose large epics into features and user stories that can be understood and approved by members of the development team.
- Facilitate increment and planning sessions with clients and team members to ensure that planned work is well defined, planned, articulated, and understood.
- Assist business analysts, team leads, clients, and other team members in the use of JIRA as an Agile Lifecycle Management Tool to track work within the program across multiple product teams.
- Coaches the teams in their understanding of the delivery process, the agile mindset, and client values.
- Provide guidance and assistance in the usage of JIRA for reporting of work progress against epics and other larger bodies of work or types of work.
- Collaborates with stakeholders and product teams to decompose large epics into features and user stories that can be understood and approved by members of the development team.
- Define project scope and schedule while focusing on regular and timely delivery of value; prepare and distribute progress reports; manage risks and issues; correct deviations from plans; and perform delivery planning for assigned projects.
- Document Acceptance Criteria in stories in a way that both development team and business stakeholders can understand and agree on the content.
- Function as direct manager for team members including setting goals, day to day work, and career growth.
- Use excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and present findings and recommendations.
Required:
- Authorized to work for any U.S. employer
- 5+ years of experience with Scrum/Kanban Methodologies
- 5+ years of experience serving as the Product Owner or Scrum Master or Business Analyst
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, MIS or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience using Agile methodologies
- Strong critical thinking skills
- Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical staff
- Ability to establish immediate credibility with clients, build consensus, and achieve goals through influence
- Ability to help teams write user stories/epics, identify dependencies, and design optimal solutions
- Flexibility to work with teams, individuals, and executives and willingness to help with a wide variety of work products and people
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience working in a studio / human centered design approach
- Proficiency in JIRA and Confluence
- Business Analyst certification(s) a plus
- SAFe certification preferred

The projected compensation range for this position is $125,000 to $160,000. The estimate displayed represents a typical annual salary range for this position.
