About DTMB:
The Department of Technology, Management and Budget supports the business operations of state agencies through a variety of services, including building management and maintenance, information technology, centralized contracting and procurement, budget and financial management, space planning and leasing, construction management, motor vehicle fleet operations, and oversight of the state retirement systems.  

About this position:
As an IT Business Analyst, the employee performs a complete range of information system analyst assignments including, but not limited to, designing, developing, testing, and implementing computer systems and applications for AG, LEO-MIOSHA, MSHDA and UIAC. This client-facing position determines solutions to complex technical request as part of the Agency Services Team. This position performs complete, beginning-to-end, coordination of incoming service requests and technical issues. Tasks include analysis, gathering requirements, research, troubleshooting, setting up/coordinating work requests, and leading ongoing customer interaction in all capacities (meetings, status updates, testing, and follow-up). This position collaborates with agency clients, teams (including Development, Web support, Database support, Quality assurance, Business Analysts, Client Specialist, Infrastructure, Field Services, Business) and software vendors. To be successful, this analyst must regularly exercise a high level of customer service skills, work independently, and with others. There are processes required to learn and follow, along with many opportunities for decision-making that do not have clear procedures.

Signing Bonus:
This position may be eligible for a sign-on bonus up to $2,500. Up to $1,250 to be paid upon new hire and the remainder to be paid after satisfactory completion of the initial probationary period (12-month period). This does not apply to current state employees.

Position Location:
This position is located in Lansing, MI. This position may work a hybrid (remote/office) schedule with 2 days required in the office per week.  Selected candidates who have been approved to work a hybrid schedule must complete that work within Michigan. Candidates should confirm work location and schedule at the time of interview.
