Job Summary:
Provides analytical support to management and more experienced SRC staff. Identifies opportunities to leverage technology solutions to improve reporting and data visualization. Performs complex analysis related to staffing trends; financial accounting and budgeting; and/or project management-oriented assignments. Assesses and improves current processes within the department. Works independently to complete special projects. Assists in preparation of responses to Board of Governors requests for various financial and staffing deliverables. Handles additional ad hoc projects and supports various other department processes. Provides assistance as needed to conduct financial and compliance reviews to assess adherence to department procedures.
What You Will Do:
- Reviews and analyzes monthly financial data.
- May assist with the preparation of written analysis of financial and operational performance that tracks performance against budget and established metrics targets.
- May assist in preparation of forecasts of financial, volume, and operational performance in the preparation of the annual budget of expenses, capital acquisitions, support costs, and staffing.
- May discuss expense, volume, and business trends with management and delivers written analysis as required.
- Responds to requests for similar analysis from SFRM or Board of Governors.
- Maintains data and performs analysis using various data bases and creates special queries to assist management with analysis of areas where additional attention or training may be needed.
- Participates in various project management related analytical activities, such as project plan creation and maintenance, identification and documentation of project risks and risk mitigation strategies, status reporting, and other progress tracking and reporting activities.
- Assesses and improves analytical tools and reports used in the department.
- Develops reports and presentations.
- May prepare analysis for customer conference calls related to business activity and forecasts.
- May monitor the inventory, useful life, and salvage value of fixed assets and the impact on operating expenses.
- Monitors department contracts and analyzes services rendered.
- Participates on and may lead system workgroups for strategic or operational issues.
- May participate in or lead moderate to complex projects utilizing various project management related skills including but not limited to: project plan creation and maintenance, meeting scheduling, scope documentation and management, identification and documentation of project risks and risk mitigation strategies, status reporting, meeting facilitation, stakeholder engagement, and other progress tracking, reporting activities and project management duties.
- Assists with assessing and improving analytical tools and reports used in the department.
- Develops reports and presentations for management.
- Presents results of analysis to management and other required audiences.
- Interacts with staff and management at all levels.
- May assist in coordinating customer meetings.
- Provides input during conference calls, management meetings, and System work groups.
- May mentor more junior staff.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
What You Have:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business or Finance, required. Equivalent education and additional work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum of 4 years related work experience as a financial, business, or project analyst is desirable.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge of budgeting, financial analysis and reporting, or project analytics.
- Demonstrated ability to learn new information and apply it quickly.
- Exceptional problem solving, analytical, critical thinking, and project management skills.
- Advanced skills using MS applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, Access, MS Project, Word, SharePoint and Visio.
- Advanced skills using data visualization applications such as Tableau or Power BI.
Thesalary gradefor this position is: 13. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, and skills, and internal equity and alignment with market data.
