Position Description:
CGI Federal is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our client’s mission critical Data Governance Project team. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, critical thinking abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of IT environments. This role requires proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly in building PowerPoint presentations, and effective project planning and scheduling capabilities.
This position is located in our Baltimore, MD office. Selected candidate must reside within two (2) hours of Woodlawn, MD. Selected candidate must be willing to work on-site at least 2 days a week
Your future duties and responsibilities:
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to gather and document business requirements for data governance initiatives including frameworks, processes, procedures, policies, communications, training materials, and metrics.
• Support development and maintenance of detailed project schedules, identifying dependencies, potential risks, and mitigation strategies.
• Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to project leadership.
• Analyze and interpret data to support project objectives and deliver actionable insights.
• Create compelling PowerPoint presentations to effectively communicate project findings and updates to stakeholders.
• Assist in the design and implementation of data governance frameworks and policies.
• Help facilitate meetings and workshops, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among team members.
• Provide Input to Functional Design Documents, Operating Models, Implementation Guides etc. as appropriate.
• Develop project artifacts and maintain them in SharePoint.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• BS/BA degree and 8 years of experience providing functional business support with 5+ years gathering business requirements, validation testing and supporting UAT.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to think critically.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of Tools (Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
• Advanced JIRA knowledge
• Solid understanding of IT environments and data governance principles.
• Excellent project planning skills, including scheduling and dependency management.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly both verbally and in written documents.
• Experience in building and delivering professional presentations to diverse audiences.
• Strong attention to detail and workplace organization. Ability to prioritize and juggle multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:
• Experience in data governance, data intensive environments, data quality, and related projects is a plus.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and frameworks.
• Experience with tools such as Informatica and Axon.
• Previous government and/or public trust clearance

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and license and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $55,700.00 - $137,100.00.
