Job Description:
his position is for a Project Analyst. The IT Project Analyst (ITPA) is part of The Home Depot's (THD) ePMO team and plays a lead role in the successful delivery of projects. The purpose of this position is to support the effective project management and delivery of IT initiatives. This position requires a basic understanding of project management methodologies. The ITPA needs to be capable of using project management tools and creating project plans. The ITPA may be responsible for a small capital project with low complexity and budget of less than $1M, a workstream within a larger program, or be assigned to support a portfolio delivering on specific tasks across many projects. The position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to lead a project or group..
Hours: 8:00am to 5:00pm

Project Planning: Under the supervision of a Program Manager, project analysts will be responsible for the maintenance and/or creation of the project work plan. The project analyst works with their manager to create a viable work plan that results in the on time completion of project within budget. Possible job responsibilities include the tracking of adherence to compliance tollgates and the creation of related artifacts. Project Financials: Responsible for labor and hard capital project forecasting and updating THD's financials system. Project Control: Supports and in some cases leads the development of effective plans for controlling project scope, schedule and cost baseline, and monitors the project execution to ensure that the plan is being followed. Project Communications: Follows an effective plan for communicating project information to the project stakeholders. Creates written status reports highlighting any potential schedule, resource and cost issues. If necessary, creates store communication about project(s) deployment. Project Risk and Issue Management: Supports the identification of project risks and the required mitigation approaches. Monitors project activities for the occurrence of risks. Calls out risks to their supervisor for management review to ensure timely action is taken to mitigate the risk. Project closeout: Assists with the creation of lessons learned documentation and posting into project repository for later use. Other PM duties as assigned which may include reporting, tracking inventory/purchases, etc.
Preferred Skills:
3-5 years of related experience.
Microsoft Office Suite including SharePoint
Strong time management and organizational skills
