About the Job
L.J. Gonzer Associates is looking for individuals to join our pool of qualified candidates for potential assignment as a Business Analyst. Job responsibilities include:
- Document the functionality of legacy human resource applications (PeopleSoft HCM) using recognized business analysis methods, and ITS standards and templates.
- Validate legacy system functionality with technical and business subject matter experts.
- Document and validate requirements for new functionality using ITS standards and templates.
- Lead requirements sessions with ITS and business staff.
- Effectively communicate business and process requirements to ITS and business staff, and Program leadership.
- Develop test plans and other artifacts for QA and UAT.
- Work with technical staff to complete fit / gap analyses (business needs vs delivered functionality) for legacy and new application capabilities.
- 7 years of experience eliciting then analyzing the stakeholder's business needs using a variety of analysis techniques and converting those into verified and validated functional and non-functional requirements for development.
- 7 years of experience in creating and maintaining software development artifacts for communication of requirements, including context diagrams, textual use cases, swim lane diagrams, report specifications, wireframes, user interface specifications, and non-functional requirements specifications.
- 7 years of experience facilitating requirement workshops, JAD sessions and structured walkthroughs, practicing effective communication to ensure requirements are understood, conveyed, and met.
- 4 years of experience utilizing PeopleSoft Human Capital Management (HCM).
- 2 years of experience with developing test plans for a project and with overseeing system changes or enhancements to ensure user and program requirements are met.
- 3 years of experience with fit / gap analyses (business needs vs delivered COTS functionality) to assess the need for customization of a proposed COTS products like Enterprise resource planning (ERP) e.g., Salesforce, PeopleSoft, CRM, Service Management) tools.
- 2 years of experience working on application integration or data integration initiatives.
