BA required with technical background to support SW development IT Projects (Waterfall/Agile)
Day-to-day responsibilities:
b. Help the Product Owner develop and manage the Product strategy.
c. Stock and refine the Product Catalog.
d. Help break user stories into Minimum Viable Product(MVP).
e. Help the development team understand the bigger picture.
f. Convert business requirements into business process flows and functional requirements.
g. Serve as Proxy Product Owner/Business Lead customers needed.
Strong Communication Skills: An Agile BA needs to communicate with nearly everyone and consider everybody s needs and concerns. At the same time, they should ensure a shared understanding of the product vision and requirements.
Flexibility and Adaptability: As Agile teams are cross-functional and self-organizing; an Agile BA must learn to continuously self-reflect and think how best they can contribute to the team. They should be able to easily adapt to new and changing requirements by doing detailed analysis beforehand.
Knowledge of Different Tools and Techniques: Agile tools and techniques make the team more effective. They help to ease backlog management, provide real-time collaboration, and make estimates and reports for sprints and releases. A good grasp of the different tools and techniques available for Agile is a crucial skill to become an Agile BA.
Facilitation skills: The ability to effectively facilitate meetings for requirement gathering for both traditional and refinement ceremonies is vital. Scrum masters ensure these events run smoothly and focus on the intended outcomes.
Technical knowledge: While not mandatory, having a technical background can be beneficial, especially when working with development teams. It allows scrum masters to better understand the technical challenges faced by the team.
Scrum framework: SME in agile/ scrum frameworks and tools.

- Perform all tasks related to business analysis, conduct analysis, determine problems, identify business needs, elicit requirements, and manage stakeholders to meet business and project objectives. During execution, they facilitate the implementation of the Product, service, or result of the project.
- Act as the link between the Product Owner/Business Owner and the technical IT team.
- Define project Product and risk analysis.
- Facilitate collaboration and knowledge transfer between stakeholders and the development team.
- Track metrics like user adoption and engagement to identify areas for improvement.
- Facilitate user acceptance tests and business validation discussions and meetings.
- Help to ensure the continuous prioritization of requirements.
- As an Agile Business Analyst (Agile BA) who understands and is experienced with the Agile methodology to help using business Agile principles, work with stakeholders to help them understand the benefits of Agile and how it can help their business. They also help the development team understand the business requirements and how they can be met using Agile methods.
