Valid CDL Class B Driver’s License with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) Endorsement required

Valid, current DOT Physical Card required

HS Diploma or GED equivalent

Minimum of 5 years licensed driving experience

Clean driving record required

Must pass a Level II Background Screening

Ability to use cleaning equipment safely

Ability to read and interpret documents such as daily schedules, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

Ability to perform assigned duties appropriately and safely in proximity to students and staff

A high degree of professionalism, collegiality, and personal conduct both in and outside of school

Ability, willingness and judgment to communicate thoroughly, accurately and concisely with all constituents in the school community

Enthusiasm and commitment to the vision and mission of the School

 

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

Required to sit, talk, hear frequently and for prolonged periods of time.

Both close and distance vision is required

Works in a highly stressful environment dealing with a wide variety of challenges, deadlines, and a varied and diverse array of contacts

Be able to occasionally lift to 30 lbs.

Ability to climb ladders safely, 2’-24’

Work primarily in a traditional climate-controlled school bus environment

Work in outside weather conditions, including extreme heat

Work in an environment with exposure to petroleum fumes

Work in an environment with loud noise

Tasks involve the ability to exert heavy physical effort, including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling, and lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of moderately heavy objects and materials weighing 20 to 60 pounds.
