Bus Driver
SUMMARY OF POSITION FUNCTIONS
To carry out appropriate resident transportation, using the philosophy, objectives and policies of the community. When not transporting residents, employee will be responsible to helping keep communtiy floors clean as part of the housekeeping team.
ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS
- Carries out monthly transportation duties for activities and medical appointments.
- Encourages residents to participate in meaningful activities.
- Maintains Bus in a neat, clean and safe working order at all times.
- Maintains community involvement.
- Communicates with Business office Manager/Concierge to schedule appointments.
- Clean community common areas as directed by Supervisor (Maintenance Director)
Note: The essential functions of this job may be revised or updated as community needs dictate.
NON-ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS
- Other duties as assigned.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be willing work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends due to special events.
- Must maintain a current State Issued Drivers Licenses with minimal traffic violations.
Education and Qualifications

- High School Diploma or equivalent.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to chart accurately. Ability to speak effectively before residents or coworkers.
- Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Valid State Issued Driver’s License, must be 21 years of age with minimal traffic violations.
- Must maintain an annual physical on file.
